Colfax Public Library is looking for a new part-time Circulation Librarian. The job is 12.5 hours a week and has set hours: Tuesday (9:30 am – 5 pm) and Wednesday (9:30 am – 3:30 pm).

The training wage is $11/hour, increasing to $11.50/hour after the 90-day probationary period (with annual pay increases for good performance).

This job involves collection maintenance, customer service, answering reference and computer questions, and occasional heavy lifting (40 pounds). The Librarian may also be asked to assist in craft preparation, bulletin board decorating, poster designing, and other miscellaneous tasks.

The ideal candidate will have good writing and speaking skills, enjoy reading books, feel motivated to help people, be a supportive co-worker, and like children. Attention to detail and accuracy in shelving are important.

Higher education is not required but will be helpful to the job.
